I must admit, there's a certain dashing boldness to the cold call!

If you've watched movies like "Boiler Room," and "Glengarry Glen Ross," or the TV show I mentioned in another post, "Undercover Billionaire," you can't help but admire the dashing courage and smoothness of the expert cold callers as they alchemize business seemingly out of thin air.

But this is the first of a number of posts in which I'll begin to explore what we lose in business when we get high on the cold call and the sales mindset.

Now, #sales is essential to your business. We all need sales skills.

But the best businesses in the world, as much as they sell, thrive more on reputation and brand than on mere sales hustle alone.
